Alabama Counts was pleased to be part of the 2019 Alabama DisABILITY Conference this week in Birmingham. Hundreds stopped by our booth during the three-day event to learn more about the 2020 Census in Alabama.

ADECA Deputy Director Anita Archie gave opening remarks on Tuesday to share about the critical importance of census participation to the amount of funding that comes to the state to support important programs like workforce training, educational assistance and other federal programs.

Nancy Lawrence, ADECA Senior Geographical Information Systems Specialist, presented a session on Tuesday afternoon about the timeline of the census and the 2020 Census Grant Program.
